On April 28, 1888, a violent storm fell on the fleet from Dunkerque (Dunkirk) fishing in Iceland (pêche à Islande). In the middle of the North Atlantic, of the 71 boats, 13 disappeared forever. 165 fishermen were swallowed by the "man-eater" (what the fishermen called the ocean). P'tit capitaine was there.
